Brew July 30, 2006 Share Brew Member July 30, 2006 anyone know a decent free one out there? or are they all basically the same?
wayfarer July 30, 2006 Share wayfarer Member July 30, 2006 Lunk uses AVG. Swears by it too, if I'm not mistaking. I used it for awhile, but then went in on a group Norton deal with my sister. When it's due I think I'm going to switch back to AVG. Same thing IMO.

Lunk July 31, 2006 Share Lunk Member July 31, 2006 Can you get updates with the trial version? This version is totally free. There is no trial involved with it. Hence the name AVG Free. It was designed for the individual user. And they are the only one that I've found that seem to release an update almost daily. They actually try to stay on top of the latest and greatest threats. Goofus Maximus July 31, 2006 Share Goofus Maximus Member July 31, 2006 The free a-v's I know of are AVG-Free, which I use, Avast, which many claim to be better than AVG, and, for Linux, Clam-Antivirus, which I use when I have the Kubuntu Linux HDD plugged in instead of my Windows one.
