You felt my G7 at FF06 you know what its like. If I had known

you were thinking of switching we coulda loaded it up on your

comp so you could get a better feel. I went from a $20 optical

to a G7, so obviously I really noticed a difference.

DEWD G7, occationally you can find a good deal on em on amazon. Very sweet mouse! Comes with 2 batteries, nice quick change out when one dies.

I picked mine up for $35 and i've seen them as low as $12. I'll keep my eye open.

Previous mouse was a VERY beat up mx700, huge difference.

The MX1000 has a battery meter, adjustable DPI setting, and a rechargeable dock. I usually recharge my MX1000 once every 3 days of heavy gaming (8-10 hours/day) or once a week with normal usage.

The G7 has adjustable weights though, right? That's one of the only advantages I see to switching mice, shep.

Yeah it's not a 5 button mouse, i only has one button on the left side. As far as the batteries they don't last as long, maybe 2 days. But it is lighter than 2 AA's, heck of weight difference between the mx700 and G7. And yes the DPI change on the fly is pretty cool. Was playing around with it yesterday.

I have mx1000 and resolution is 1/2 that of G7...

I think ergonomics are same and weight is about the same...

both have rechargeable...both are wireless...

Only differences I can point on would be DPI (2000 on G7) and the fact that the mx1000 has "foreward" internet button...

meh...

First of all, the MX1000 is MUCH heavier than the G7. Hands down.

Secondly, try playing CSS with a mouse that has 1/2 the dpi.

The mouse makes all the difference in the world. It's not going to

do anything for you if you panic and not pull the trigger in a firefight. But

killing someone with a single AK burst from the other side of the map

never gets old.
