Bermudian October 8, 2008 Share Bermudian Member October 8, 2008 (edited) Ok guys I have a really good math problem. This is a real 5th grade math problem. I'm really good at math so I got it in 2 minutes. Lets see if you can figure it out. THERE IS NO BUS DRIVER!!!! There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For every big cat there are 7 little cats. Question: How many legs are there in the bus? Those that figure it out will get a cookie from me via FedEx Edited October 8, 2008 by Bermudian
dragonfly October 8, 2008 Share dragonfly Member October 8, 2008 (edited) I have a degree in math, so does that mean I'm disqualified? 7 girls = 14 legs so far 7 backpacks * 7 girls = 49 backpacks 7 big cats per backpack = 343 big cats, 343 x 4 = 1372 legs, + 14 for the girls = 1386 legs so far. 343 big cats, with 7 little cats per big cat means 343 * 7 = 2401 little cats. 2401 * 4 = 9604 little cat legs 9604 + 1386 = 10990 legs in total. Ringadon October 8, 2008 Share Ringadon Member October 8, 2008 (edited) If the girls are the only ones actually on the bus 14 if they have all their backpacks then 854 legs if the 7 cats to every big cat are also on the bus then 5894 legs and if we need to count the legs of the chairs in the bus then there's not sufficient information. NOFX October 8, 2008 Share NOFX Member October 8, 2008 (edited) 7 girls with 7 backpacks makes 49 backpacks... 49 backpacks * 7 cats in each = 383 cats.. 383 cats have 4 legs each.. so that is 1372. 7 girls have 2 legs each, so thats another 14.. So 1386 legs. Was it really that hard? Also, it's "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" Edited October 8, 2008 by .fx

Without a driver, they can't get on the bus! The driver is the only one who can actually open the door. Owned.
