don't get me wrong... i love apple... and I agree... There r&d is better then redmond when creating a product that is soup to nuts. They can bundle a product and deliver a product, with every aspect included. Microsoft designs more on what others could do to it as well... it is just different methods of running a business... Apple wont' develop a product unless they can provide a total solution, and not allow for "modding"... they will also only do it when they know they can do it better then anyone else. Microsoft doesn't even touch that... they couldn't release a total product if Apple gave them the blueprints. That said, I can easily make my pc run as stable as a mac... 9 times out of 10, a pc crashes because of other software installed on the pc, not because of windows itself.

zune has been out for what... 3 months or something... give it time... it will never have what ipod has, but it will most likely gain some more market share. and as far as macs loading apps in a fraction of the pcs time... yeah right... i work in a publishing company... we are 50% macintosh... I can attest to 2 things... 1. They are no faster nor slower then workstation pcs... 2. They are not problem free.

think of all the money you will save on shampoo... HAHAHA

I have almost no hair on top... so i've been balding for years... i'm 30 now... since i started shaving my head, I get hit on a lot more... it has affected my friendships too... all my guy friends are jealous... some of my female friends can't wait for me to be single again... 8P Personally, I have not had a problem with going bald... it is all in how people perceive it... it is a matter of opinion... some hate, some like it. I also did a lot of research into it in my early 20's.. things have changed some since then... but all in all, i'm ok with being bald. 8)

In addition to the above, what symptoms is he showing... what's going on with the machine? slow and clunky... no internet... something else?

hmm... i have a 400 or 500 dollar acer and I can take my half way down the block and it still works with my wireless... I would actually patch the firmware on your wireless router and maybe reset it and set it all back up again... I know if you have a linksys version 5 of the wrt model then there is a firmware patch that dealt with signal strength. Also: this could be a driver problem... if you have an intel wireless inside the laptop... I can't remember what acer uses in mine... but if it is... remove the intel proset and just install the driver... let XP manage the wireless networks... the projet software has "issues" on laptops for some reason...

I'm usually on scopeless... but I got Oblivion for XMAS, so i've been playing that.

you should switch to IE 7 or Firefox 2.0 then... neither ever crashes for me. and I average 20 browsers open at work... 8)

I have us cell... they only carry blackberries at this time... no treo. 8( otherwise I would have one of those. If you are looking for all the advanced functions... goto verizon... That is what I will most likely do.
