my old RVS clan still plays every now and then.. I ran the game on a 4400+ and a 7900... very perrrty w/ a constant 50-60 fps. As soon as I upgrade my monitor I might break this out and play with you.. the TDM is supposedly pretty fun.

Yeah.. i'm goign to be going from 1280x1024 on a 19" to 1024x768 (or 1330x768 - same thing ws) on a 32"

I guess the only thing that concerns me is the gaming at 1300 x 768 on a 32" monitor. I know its a great TV, just not sure it'd be great for gaming.

Nice.. I think i would have it at least a couple feet away.. sounds like i might need to get a deeper desk.. Newegg currently has it for 799.00 (w/ a $50 rebate) and free shipping. Tiger has it for 800.00, making it about 875 to ship. Unfortunately, I live in the northeast and no where close to a tigerdirect retail store. I might just have to roll the dice and live with a couple dead pixels if thats the case.

Thanks for replying mo! I'm surprised the manual sayd 1024x768, specs on the website say "Recommended Resolution 1366x768" Couple questions for you... When you say.. don't sit too close.. are you able to sit it on the back of a desk and play in front of it? What is "too close"? Newegg has a great deal on it atm, do you remember what you payed for it?

wallhacks don't look like that demo he made.. They simply just spec'd him and recorded, then went and re-recorded the demo with mat_wireframe. Its a great tool once you have a fps demo, to see how a hacker's crosshairs will line up a player when strafing around a wall, etc. Unfortunately, there are alot of wall hacks out there.. some with wireframe walls, some with transparent walls... one that is plagueing the community, yet can never be VAC detected are custom model hacks. These will allow a player to see all models (friendlies and enemies) pretty much through anything. All walls remain the same, but you can see the player models through them. This cheat is very hard to detect since teams can use it wisely and not get caught. For instance, they can have a player "hang back" and spot enemies for teammates to kill. No one ever disputes the guy that goes 3-14. What stinks about it is that valve claims they will never do anything restricting a player from customizing their models (for obvious reasons). Anyway, nice catch boys!

Although i didn't have anything to do with the event.. I think a good idea would be to make it a competition. Accept stories/pleas as to who had to sacrifice the most, or overcome the farthest distance, or had the funniest/strangest thing happen to them during the journey and time spent at FF06.. Then let the community vote on the top winners.

I'd argue no.. actually, more like No Way! Its cheating imo, plain and simple. There are alot of players out there that cheat, who still aren't very good... doesn't make it okay...

that is just the 'pregame' cfg thats loaded. You can set it to load any cfg you want.. I have seen dsp run successfully in other pubs.. might be worth a shot.

rcon dsp_readyup 0 removes the readyup screen.... if thats your only problem with dsp...
