He hasn't faced very difficult competition either to this point. The Finns just don't seem too good this year and are probably the 7th best team in the tournament. I do think he is a pretty good goalie though from the limited amount I get to see him since I am a Blackhawks fan.

I am interested to see who people think will win the gold now that the prelims round is over. I know most of us want to see US or Canada win, but the question is who would you bet on? I didn't include the other teams because I didn't want them messing up the poll Sorry for all you Belarus fans out there!

I am so glad my new computer has Win 7, Vista was such a piece of (%*#($0 on my laptop. It is worth the upgrade imo, whatever the price.

I have seen parts of a few episodes here and there and it seems like it could be a decent series. The only parts I haven't cared for are the fight scenes actually. They try too much to be like 300 as you stated. I also thought 300 sucked too, I hated how they filmed the fighting scenes with the slow mo/ camera angles and overall I just didn't like the movie for characters/plot/other various reasons. Needless to say, I am glad all the Spartans died.

I did find a temporary fix, if you select manual control on the ipod you can override the sync option and actually select the songs and then move them individually onto the ipod. It sounds like I will have to get a thirdparty program though if I ever want to sync the ipod again without losing the songs already on it. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

So I have my iPod shuffle (I think it is a shuffle) which for multiple reasons, is one of the worst pieces of garbage I have ever bought. Recently I had to buy a new computer because my old one kicked the bucket. I loaded iTunes onto my new computer and had purchased some new music to put onto the ipod and I get a message saying I can't sync my ipod because it is already synced to the itunes on my old computer. If I re-sync it will erase all of my old music according to the warning. I can't do that because I won't be able to recover a significant portion of my old music. Apple really.... I need some help from some Apple users or anyone that has encountered this problem before. What is the best way to approach this other than throwing my ipod against the wall as hard as I can?

Unclean has pretty good advice imo. Certainly don't plan on buying a house if you don't plan on living there at least 3 years, 5 years is better but still not ideal. Overall it is a buyers market, so you do have that going for you. I know when I bought my house there was a lot of expenses I didn't really consider (updating, fixing, furnishing, etc). Don't go for an adjustable rate loan, stay with conventional loans. The only place for interest rates to go is upwards. I hate to admit it ....but gl has a really good point too. It may make sense to rent awhile if you haven't lived together, but that is a something you are probably the best judge of. Just make sure you use a realtor you can trust. Overall though, it is an attractive time to buy with very low rates and depressed prices....just make sure you can afford it and that it is the right timing in your relationship.

I agree with clueless. From my experience mapvote means dust2, inferno, mill, season or cobble probably 90% of the time. On one hand that is ok if that is what the majority of people want to play but I personally would like to see some different maps get played. All five of those maps generally seem to be part of the rotation anyways. I think part of the reason map votes don't seem to be effective is that if people see a map they are not familiar with they won't vote for it because then they would have to download it. How about the following for a 10 mapcycle: Five core maps: the five I mentioned above which everyone seems to be ok with playing (even though I hate mill) Three maps: to be determined by a different admin each month or small group of admins Two Maps: to be voted on my all gc members monthly on the forums I know in the past we use to vote for maps but it would get skewed because of low participation at times. Of course admins could always change maps/mapvote if they feel the server is dying or needs a change at the time. This is just an idea, any feedback?

I would stick to the hickey explanation myself I will try and take the whole week off so I can come early if you guys are planning on going to Cedar Point. Although, paintball is a blast too.

This just in.....Starcraft 3 is expected to hit the stores before Starcraft 2. Blizzard developers say it is due to the unreal fan expectations that a sequel can be developed in less than 10 years. A respone from an anonymous programmer: "Listen Rome wasn't built in 10 years. Besides, if we bring out Starcraft 3 first, it won't be a sequel...see usually 2 comes before 3, just think about (nods his head and leans back)" There is some question whether Blizzard should have started on Diablo 3 what with all of the delays in Starcraft 2. One must give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt, though, it is terribly difficult to attempt to alter and mess something up that was so brilliantly simple and well received such as Starcraft. When asked about the hang ups on Starcraft 2 and when fans could anticipate its release a Blizzard executive had the following to say: "Well, he have hit a snag in trying to figure out how to incorporate raids into Starcraft 2. We just don't want to put a product out there that has no chance of enveloping people's lives. As to the date we expect Starcraft 2 to hit the shelves, we anticipate that it will come out around the same time as Left 4 Dead 157. We think it should be some good competition."

I had that for like a month right after they switched to the new forums. I could only see a very small fraction of the main forum window and none of the right one, it was very annoying. Eventually it went away, I didn't do anything that I know of to change it.
