I like the new logo.

L4D1: 9 months to release Survival Mode, add Versus Mode to 2 of the campaigns, and now a 2 map campaign that lasts a projected 30 minutes according to several articles. L4D2: 11 months to make 5 campaigns with Co-op, Versus, and Survival Modes, new weapons and playable characters, improved AI Director, and new Special Infected. I like and play L4D as much as the next guy, but this is kind of silly.

I just watched the first episode; don't really have time for the others. Voicework is pretty good. Decent laughs.

Didn't hear about this game until now. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it combines some pretty cool elements. I might buy this if it's good; I call Mordecai or Roland.

Agreed. I'd wait a couple months (assuming L4D 2 is released as scheduled in November) and see what effect, if any, L4D 2 has on the L4D community before choosing one. Whether or not you decide to get L4D 1 now, don't buy it full price; I'd wait for it to go to half price (~$24.99 or lower). Don't get the Game of the Year Edition either; I don't recall any significant advantage you'll get for paying extra for it.

Heh, me too. I'm kinda old fashioned, I guess. I might change my mind in the future though... This game looks kinda cool. It'd be fun if they let you wield a double bladed lightsaber like in Jedi Academy. I dunno if this is the first MMO I'll pick up though in the coming months. There's a couple coming out sooner, so I might look at those first.

Its at 67mb right now and been running all day. Thank goodness I have 4gigs of ram. Also high on my list, yahoo messenger at a whopping 18mb. That's like 13 floppies! Wait a minute, is there a 64bit Firefox? http://www.start64.com/index.php?option=co...5&Itemid=75 It's called Minefield. I haven't used it yet though, so I dunno anything about it. I have to agree with ZeroDamage though. Firefox 3.5 does open up faster than the previous version(s) of Firefox I was using.

Quick/possibly dumb question: So if I buy the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade (I currently have Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit on my computer), would you guys recommend a clean install? Or do you think the upgrade option should be okay? I haven't had a lot of experience with OS's, so I don't know which, if any, method is the better one or has less chance of technical problems in the future. I might buy this because it's really cheap, but I might wait a bit before installing it. You guys make it sound really good, but I just bought Vista a couple months ago.

Yeah, it sounds a bit interesting to try for L4D or something, but I don't know if I'd buy it. (Kinda wary of the 1 year warranty)

I sure hope so because this announcement makes me a little . I wouldn't mind a sequel if it came 2 years after the first one, but this seems like a really rushed idea or a prank. They already made it it's own forum on the Steam forums. IGN has gameplay videos of it too. Yeah, I watched the IGN videos before I posted. It just seems really unrealistic to me that they're going to have 5 new campaigns, new melee weapons, a new game mode, etc. done in a couple months. I'd prefer they wait a bit before making a new one.
