    Dixie banned you. The problem is that she first perma-banned you, then gave you a one day ban. The one day expired but the permanent ban is still vaild. Someone will need to wipe that one off.

    CS crowd came up with FFO. L4D folks not so much. If you were looking for a reason. Also a really wide geographic range with the L4D'rs. I'm attempting to run down a hotel or two for a location - would be very different dates than the poll though. One place would be amazing if it happens...

    That name is borderline. I mean, it's harmless enough on it's own but it's one of those gateway words that lead to people saying "but you let that name through" Meh, deal with it later sometime... 1) Buy a gift voucher for $15. 2) Send it to him 3) He registers here on the forums if not already here, then uses the gift voucher to get a Contributing Membership.

    New IPS Forums goes release candidate in 6 days so I've pretty much shut down on any dev work here. Also waiting to hear back on one of the FragFest longshot things.

    Valve made this change back in May of last year and unless you were downloading monster maps you never noticed. It was originally something like a 60-ish meg limit but people yelled and it got bumped to 150meg or so and they added that client-side option to over-ride the setting. Why any of this? There was a bug or something whereby people could get tricked into downloading multiple-GIGABYTE(!) sized zips or what not through the redirect servers. Valves solution was to bake in a limiter.

    That looks pretty tasty. UE3-based and actually a review seems to sum up the trailer pretty well - basically Unreal Tournament 3.5. Might give this a look even though it is early access and just one map. This and UT4 in active dev now. Heart's all a'flutter. Kids these days with their cover shooting... Speed and instagibbing and double jumping and did I mention speed? (one of the downfalls of UT3 was how plodding the movement was...)
