It did that to me too, after about 2 weeks locked up on me then just wouldn't even boot up. Seeing how it was on a drive by itself, I just reinstalled it and it has been running great ever since. I did get some kind of update a few weeks back. My sound gets a little weird at times, once in a while it will sound like the speakers a blown for a little bit. Sometimes like 10 seconds other times longer but then it goes away and its fine. I'm using the Creative Audigy 4 sound card and I haven't really looked into making sure I have the proper drivers as of late so I guess I'll have to do that. Other than that its been running fantastic.

Just out of curiosity, what happens to the beta that I am using when it goes rtm?

After looking at VooDoo's pics enlarged, my son's screen is like 3 to 4 times clearer and much more detailed, I assume that's because of the card.. I'll get him to grab some screen shots.

My sons rig: Gigabyte MB AMD 6000c 3.1ghz Dual Core AM2 socket 4gigs Crucial ddr2 800mhz XFX GTX 285 1gig Visio 32'' 1080p tv Average fps is 25 to 30 with spikes of 35 to 50 this is with all settings maxed out. Resolution is at 1900x1200

Absolutley, send back the Vista!!! Just go with XP for now and when W7 comes out then upgrade. Believe everyone that is using W7 when they say it is by far the best OS that MS has come up with. Compared to W7, Vista is total junk. I got the DL when everyone was talking about it, I'm running dual boot and i haven't booted into XP in months. As far as the cards, is a 600 what PS good enough for the 285 gtx? Running 4400 dual with 4gigs ddr2, will that do it? My son is looking into the 285gtx and thats what he's running as of now. Gonna replace 8500gt 512 x2 sli and having a little slow down in Fallout 3. Haven't looked at all the specs for Nvidia and Ati cards as of yet so I'll rely on you guys for some good input.

Ok, I can see it being an issue in vs mode. I don't really think it is much of an issue even if your playing co-op. I think in co-op mode it would be up to the rest of the players if they don't want anyone to use it. Versus mode would be a problem for obvious reasons. Your after AI zombies rather than real people. Thats how I see it anyways

Ok, 1-you did hear right, 2-I am married but don't have to check in with the boss, I really like that show, its inspiring to me. Its probably the only reality show that is for real, and where 60% of America can relate to the people on it. I've kind of gotten hooked on it. The challenges and what not are pretty cool and the things that go on are like watching sports, my wife and I bet on who's gonna get voted off next. Oh ya btw, the end of next month I'll have been married for 23 years. :biglaugha:

I have gotten that also but it seems if you jump out of the game and then bring it back up again it fixes it, sometimes. I'd go with what VooDoo said, it works.

Thought I would give CSS another try for a bit but when I try to load the game it fails and pops up an error of --- failed to initialize. Anyone have an answer for this, I'm installing it on windows 7 NM, reinstalled and all ok .

Ok, am I to believe that some of you are just now finding this out or just realizing it to be such a big fact. Probably the biggest reason I don't play anymore. I just recently re-installed COD4, I find myself jumping from server to server at times because of the hacks that don't get detected by PB. Biggest one is (walling), if you play COD4 make sure you find a server that is still running kill cam. It amazes me that these guys still use walling with KC running, its as if they think we won't notice. You guys that have been playing CSS all this time know when they are and aren't. I for one couldn't really figure out if they were or not so I just left it as a maybe and played on. I play my game right out of the box, no tweaks no super slap shot exec's just straight up install and play. If people consider me any good after that, then its comforting to know that I got that way on my own. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with a tweak or so but if you have to use the hacks to get any fun out of the game then stop playing it. Its all just fun, even the competitions were a lot of fun, clan matches in CSS and UT were the best ever. I miss the matches, I really enjoyed those.

Its the LT, with full power. If your gonna pop for the SS, they have a lot of options to go with that. Hood scoops. sweet rims trim packages, ground effects racing seats and so on. 1 year Onstar with that and for $18 more you get 130 minutes of Onstar phone. Ya, your car gets a cell number. You also get 1 year of xm radio free.
