Anyone else getting this?

Ever since the last steam update, everytime I start CSS I find

my favourites have been wiped out. I have to manually re-enter

all my favourite IP addresses.

#1 STOCK MW 216.86.154.199: 27015

#2 SCOPELESS MW 216.86.154.200: 27015

#3 STOCK WC 72.37.147.22: 27015

#3.5 WestAIMCSSLA 216.193.228.72:27015

#4 STOCK SW 207.210.245.40:27015

#5 ZOMBIE MOD 64.34.88.15: 27015

GC CSS PRIVATE SERVER, 216.86.154.236:27015

This is a REAL pain in the behind!! Anyone else have this

problem? Anyone know how I can fix it?

What I worked out while sleeping last night is this:

Make a CFG file, one for each server, that has a line saying "connect hostname" which I think is the command to connect to a server.

I'm about to test that out.

Yep, works like a charm. I just made a file 2.cfg that has this as its only line:

connect 216.86.154.200:27015

Notice that there are no quotes, when there were quotes it said "Bad server address." Stupid Steam. The upside is now I could even bind "exec 2" to a key and join #2 by just pressing a single button. :)

EDIT: I'm dumb. You could just bind a key to "connect 216.86.154.200:27015"

Yes, but you should'nt have to do this. The Favourites are

there for a reason. To quickly access the servers you are most likely

to play on. If everyone is having this problem, then it's a

steam problem. And steam should be informed of it.

i wish steam ill. not valve or anything, just steam. it needs to die in a fire, preferably while being clubbed to death.

Couldn't say it better.

Although I think I might just hotkey all the GC servers to F keys and leave it that way. Don't really play anywhere else anyway.

Can you just paste the solution here?

1. Load CSS

2. Find Servers

3. Favorites

4. Change filters

5. Anti-cheat - secure

6. Reload CSS

7. Favorites - Refresh

If you could see servers through STEAM -> servers before – you will see them in the game as before.

If this method do not work at once, delete file serverbrowser.vdf and do it again

Make sure you aren't adding the servers with the Ingame browser. Add your servers using the Steam Server browser.

There you go, Fatty. This solution worked great for me.

This worked for me also. The only thing I had to do when I loaded the game was to hit my refresh button first. My favs were not there until I hit it, then they all appeared. Quick note, If you add any more favorites do it from within the game not the tray icon. I tried to add them through the tray icon and they did not go to my favorites. :peace:
