What is MCC VIII?

MCC stands for Mmmm Country Club. For those of you unfamiliar

with Gamerscoalition, MCC is a fast paced tournament. The roman

numerals signifies that this is the 8th such tournament. It is actually

an annual event that, although played differently on different occasions,

breaks down to a 5 man team drivin tournament. It is going to work like this;

You sign up for a team here. MCC VIII will be a RANDOM DRAW tournament. We are not accepting

teams this time.

-there will be two divisions consisting of at least 5 teams each.

-every team will play each team in they're division once.

-there will then be a round robin playoff with the top two teams

in each division getting a buy to the second round.

The winner of the event is granted undisputed bragging rights.

Are teams going to be allowed a forum somewhere to plan since there is no already formed teams? If that makes sense.

of course, we'll put private subforums in here for any team that desires one.

What about TS? Could we use GC's TS or do we have to find another place to do ingame communication other than the built-in stuff?

What is the date for this? I read all of the topics and didn't see it, I probibly didn't look hard enough.

If you say the week 17th of April I will give you a hug, parents are gone and I can play all I want.

Is there a date for this? I would like to know if I can make it before I sign up.

This should start soon. (week or two) The tournament itself will take

between 6-8 weeks to complete depending on how well your team does.

Each team will consist of approx. 7 players. Matches will be 5 players only,

thus two subs. Every team will have a 3-4 day window to play their matches.

If you are capable of playing CSS a couple times a week, you should

have no trouble meeting the needs of your team.

It is my hope to get the event underway by the 2nd or 3rd week of

March. Should be good to go by then. This event will last several weeks.

A lot of college students have Spring Break in the next few weeks.... I hope that won't hurt any of the teams. I know I wont be bringing my computer home for that one week. Then again I guess that's what the 2 subs are for :spin2:

Not a problem, we've got room for other fellow CS players!

PS: here is the url, you can see the MCC channel is already there... Depending on how many teams want to use it we can make subchannels (Team1, Team2, etc) http://www.voanet.com/serverview.php

That is a very nice offer. However, we have the resources to take care of things at home. Of course, teams can do whatever they please to organize themselves.

GC can create and host as many TeamSpeak channels as needed for MCC.

We will also create a few practice servers and make the rcon public so you guys can get in there and change the map to whatever you want, lock the server down, etc, for some organizational time.

We will also create subforums in this forum for scheduling, etc.

Once the teams are picked, have the captains PM me with passwords, which would probably be the same for both TS and their private forum.

I'll have X install a few private servers when he has a chance. Once that's done, I'll post the IPs/ports and passwords in a pinned topic in this forum.
