Shazz August 30, 2006 Share Shazz Member August 30, 2006 Plain and simple...is it worth paying Fileplanet for fast downloads?
Lunk August 30, 2006 Share Lunk Member August 30, 2006 Gamespot has the same thing. I've just always used the free download. Waited my turn in line. And downloaded the file when it was my turn. I've never waited more than half an hour. Don't see any reason to pay for it.
duma August 30, 2006 Share duma Member August 30, 2006 I agree with Lunk. There is even a "bong" sound when it is your time to download, so you dont even have to sit by the pc.

Penty August 30, 2006 Share Penty Member August 30, 2006 I pay for fileplanet. Primarily for the beta keys, but also because I am impatient.
pavid August 30, 2006 Share pavid Member August 30, 2006 I tend to look for other sources first. I really don't see any reason to pay them when 8 times out of 10 I can find the file elsewhere. If I can't find another source then, just like Lunk, I wait my turn.

VooDooPC August 30, 2006 Share VooDooPC Member August 30, 2006 I like Fileshack because there's usually no lines and the download cap is 500kb/s. My brother has a Fileplanet account, it's not too bad. (Goes to play BF2142 beta, Company of Heroes beta, Archlord beta)
alvin August 30, 2006 Share alvin Member August 30, 2006 Filefront usually works well too. But Fileplanet has the beta keys and etc.
JackieChan August 30, 2006 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 30, 2006 (edited) Just use the free ones, if it's a long wait, wait in line and do something in the mean time. Who cares if you'll get it 3 hours sooner? Not like your computers gonna esplode at 99% after waiting 5 hours.
