I linked this in my post above PS It is good but it only has 80MM fan in it. Means it will be loud at the wattage it is pumping out can you sli these? Yes, great card. What I have now. Consider the superclocked version I have linked above. Of course the slight performance increase may not mean much and you can pretty OC yourself if you know how. I tried out a 10000 rpm drive and did not see a difference in the performance over a SATAII drive at 7200. CSS may load .00005 seconds quicker. By "ok" I mean it works, but you can absolutely see a difference between it and better monitors. It's colors are washed out and it is darker toward the top of the screen than the bottom (no matter what angle you look at it). Like Preacher said, if you're going that expensive, might as well get the best. the Dell 24" 2407wfp (and wfp-hc) are probably the best overall monitor on the market right now (either than or an Apple cinema display). If you're not wanting to spend that much then check out Viewsonic...I used to think there wasn't much difference in monitors until I got that Acer...and there is absolutely a reason it costs so little. then again, it's still a perfectly acceptable monitor and I'm not unhappy with it...I'm just saying you can tell why it's not as expensive as other monitors (whereas my Hanns-G, you CAN'T tell why it's so cheap) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If he is going to be playing the new Crysis and/or Unreal Tournament 2007, the difference will be very apparent at that point. I play at 1680 x 1050 and would not recommend less than a gtx at this point in time. It will matter when the newer games come out. Or.... get the gts and make sure you have an SLI system so you can buy another later. As for the Raptor drives; I do not use one. Want to know how long it takes me to load up a map on CSS? I am usually the first one in the game or sometimes the second one. I am using a Maxtor 300GB SATA-II drive that I paid 90 bucks for that is 7200 RPM. I think they still cost too much and do not increase performance enough to warrant the cost BUT that is my opinion. If you want one on the case then go here and scroll down to cases and check out the two XG cases.
