anonymo December 11, 2007 Share anonymo Member December 11, 2007 Most places I stay use individually sealed plastic cups (oh god I hope they don't reseal them) but I have stayed in hotels that use glass and I'm considering going to get checked for herpes now ...I'm also forwarding this to both my General Managers to make sure they aren't partaking in this horrendous practice. http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/22250/39039

shep48 December 11, 2007 Share shep48 Member December 11, 2007 I am thinking about getting http://kopes.com/gadgets/invisible-ink-pen-uv-light.htm mark sheets, towels, pillow cases. I have been using a pencil and marking the seams of these. Guess what. They are still there when I come back. I have called the 1-800 not happy # for the hotel. I have found that its actually breaking the law in several states to not change the sheets. "3731.12 Beds and bedding. (A) Every transient hotel and extended stay hotel shall provide in each sleeping room or extended stay temporary residence a bed, bunk, cot, or other furniture designed for sleeping for each guest occupying such accommodations. Every hotel shall provide each bed, bunk, cot, or other sleeping place for the use of transient or extended stay guests with pillow slips and under and top sheets. All sheets and pillow slips used on any furniture designed for sleeping shall be white or off-white in color and shall be washed daily if requested by a guest, and all such sheets and pillow slips, after being used by one guest, shall be washed before being used by another guest." It is bit disturbing because it is a drinking glass, but everything everywhere in public spheres are covered with filth. You can ignore it or not. I once was at a Youth Group conference with my church, I was one of the "adults". First thing one of the kids did in our room was check under the mattresses for porn...guess what he found (the answer is porn...really, really nasty porn). I complained about that. Why in the world would you do that? You will not be able to sleep in the hotel room after you take a look with the black light. Take a look at your own room, I think you would be suprised there as well.. heh Shaftiel
Bush December 13, 2007 Share Bush Member December 13, 2007 A friend of mine who is a traveling salesman told me a long time ago to throw the comforter on the ground because they never wash those. Shep confirmed the sheets don't get cleaned either which makes me fell dirty. I always wash the glass's and whatever I pour in them would for sure kill any bugs that existed. I have traveled through out China (just got back btw) and stayed in many hotels. My only requirement there was that it had to have wester style toilet (not a squat and squeeze) and that there wasn't poo on the wall. Not high requirements I know, but I was fortunate to find nice place's to stay that had computers in the room that were actually quiet nice, comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn. I also didn't pay over $30 a night for them.

anonymo December 17, 2007 Author Share anonymo Member December 17, 2007 This makes me so excited for my hotel wedding in a year Hotel wedding? Can I have some money too? If you want a quick once over of why hotel weddings are not a great idea, I'll be more than glad. (I have all kinds of horror stories just from my hotel alone)
