Well this topic has had a poor response. Are you guys telling me you all just went to school to do work?

Good job guys! Do you have source TV on your match server? It would be cool to watch some gc matches from time to time.

So what did you guys do to get suspended from school? If you havent been suspended, then what great pranks did you get away with? If you havent been suspended and have not got away with anything, then get out of here!! I got kicked out of school for a week at the age of 14 for two reasons: Firstly, there was this small craze going around where people would bring in pictures of nude women, and stick it behind the plastic sheet covering a display of pictures/posters in corridor walls. One day, one guy took things too far and took a picture of a teacher in lesson, edited it on paint and *guess the rest*. I volunteered to put it into the display cabinet, and when they wouldnt let the whole school leave the building until someone owned up, I eventually got up and said it was me. The second reason why I got suspended was because I made a website about a teacher who just handed out detentions randomly to people in the class if the whole class were talking etc. Making this site was totally out of order, but it gave me a lot of respect from friends at the time and was incredibly funny. It backed fired because that teacher was the best biology teacher that the school had and when she found out she moved to a different school, resulting in me getting a useless teacher for biology, which nearly prevented me from getting the correct grades to get into college. There were plenty of pranks: One year's leaving day was well planned out. About 5 guys organised this thing, and it worked perfectly. Someone set off a fire alarm in the building, causing about 1000 pupils to come out of lessons and assemble closely together in the playground. On the other side of the school fence, were about 15 students waiting for the perfect time to lob about 100 eggs into the playground, slaughtering loads of people!

There are also different skill categories based on your previous performance in matches, which gives everyone an equal chance to win the money.

His numbers at the bottom don't usually make sense. When I get chain mail worth sending, I usually get it about 5 times from different people on my contact list, and others probably get the same amount. 300million people will not recieve his e-mail for sure. Even if 300million people did, who can honestly say that they will go out of their way to go to find another petrol station that isn't being supplied by them companies in the e-mail? Trying to reduce gas prices will work if everyone puts in an effort to stop using gas, therefore lowering the demand for it and consequently its price. Walking, cycling, carpooling, public transport are all ways of not using as much gas. Buying a more fuel effecient/friendly car would cut down on the amount of gas needed. I heard ford truck was the most popular car in the world one time. Just think, if the majority of them people who didnt need them trucks for work/specific truck needs, bought a smaller car, a heck load of fuel would be saved. Anyway, having gas prices at $4 shouldn't be one's only incentive to cut down on the amount of gas they use, pollution also effects the environment just as much as your wallets. Green peace ftw!

Today our whole team turns up for the match, and the other team does the steam ID check. It turns out that I've missed 1 number off the end of my steamId, due to a valve copy and paste bug. The whole ID is exactly the same, but this last number is just not there. It seems like no big deal when the clan bring it up (first we've ever heard of it, as I dont stare at my steam ID in the teams roster page everyday), and we ask if they can ignore a simple copy and paste error. The team default the match, saying that they are going to play by the rules etc and give us all that garbage I'm fed up of teams like this existing. The reasons why they disputed the match was illogical. We all know why steamIDs are there, to stop teams getting l337 ringers to make them win. One digit short proves im not a ringer, im not even good at cs at the moment A similar thing happened with my old clan who I left due to university not allowing me to play. They went upto 12th in the ladder, undefeated even in 4v5 matches, with a really good record. They were due to play a match on another teams server, but their server didnt work, so my old clan invite them over to their server to play the match. Their server has some bad cfgs, and it restarted the map in the second half, and my old clan forgot to record a demo by a simple mistake. the other clan ask for demos, they try to explain their error about the second half, provide the first half demo, and ask if they can just play the match again. The other clan say no and claim the default. bahhh venting over, its just annoying that people ruin this game so much.

I'm getting loads of problems with the new update: -constant lag spikes, for 5 seconds every round. - invinsible player models. or faintly visible models. its quite funny when you see 5 ghosts running at you in the game! -and i cant hit anything (well not really, but i like to use that as an excuse

Yeah i agree with anon, any disadvantage to cts in this map is a good thing, as its hard enough rushing into bombsite A as Ts without having someone sticking an inch of their head out at the back of the bombsite standing there getting cheap kills. They are almost impossible to hit especially whilst your running and dodging other peoples bullets.

hah you guys are funny!!! Hackers have done much more good for the computing industry than you think... A hacker is someone who finds a different solution to a problem that has already been solved. As soon as distributed computing/networking came about a few of these people saw they could benefit from their skills... As far as spyware, and virusis you get on your computer, that is not from hackers. A sophmore in the computer science department could write any of those, all he has to do is find some shmuck to install it. Any large scale meeting like this will have to have people that hack to show big corporations just how bad their software is *cough*microsoft*cough*. I'msure there will be a few of the guys that can reverse engineer the Counter Strike Source Code, so they can easily write 3rd party tools to help them play, but you would never find them. Anywho, you should thank the hackers out there. Last I heard of 2600 was about in 8th grade, ill have to read up on them. A hacker finds ways of getting into a big companies computer system, so he can tell them how he exploited it and how they can patch it up so its more secure, so hackers are good. But if you go back to the start of this whole problem, if hackers wern't here in the first place, then there would be no point in patching up a system for security exploits. Therefore, hackers = bad. I think more serious action needs to be forced upon children/their parents who do fake 911 calls, as the operator could have had loads of kids phone up who just turn up to be joking around, and thought that this was a similar case?

I dont quite understand. Why doesnt scroll lock and x work? If you can get them working, then can you get a macro recorded to bind to a g button?

I dont understand how it can't put a question into religous people's faith. Surely if the Bible says one thing and then science 'proves' to a certain extent that something different happened, then surely a religous person questions the validity of the start of the Bible, and if they question the start as it doesnt match up to science's 'proof', then they question other parts? btw, im not trying to offend anybody or undermine their beliefs, I'm just trying to understand.

Heres a bit of advice decoy: Put your laptop in an airing cupboard for a day or two and hopefully all of the water would have vanished and the laptop should work. Thats if you have an airing cupbard, or even know what they are over there? (small room with the boiler in it that you put clothes in after they have been washed to air out). If that doesnt work, take it down to the local tech shop and see what the guys can do. Maybe they can remove some of the working parts and get you some of your money back. I feel for you

Soccer is actually simple game, but the players make it incredibly hard. But the same could be said about american football in a way. One would think that american football involves more extra work off the pitch, like drawing up tactics and trying to get passed the other teams defence, but the same applies to soccer. Managers will sit their players down for hours at a time and analyse the other teams defensive and attacking strong points, then look at weaknesses. They will come up with plans to take out the other teams most influential players, goal keepers will study who takes free kicks and what way they like to bend the ball, and what side of the goal they will usually aim for. Soccer is not about just buying amazing players and sticking them on the pitch. A perfect example is the case of chelsea, a london team. A russian billionaire took over the club and literally gave them an unlimited supply of money to spend on players. The manager does this, buys amazing players, but they still dont top the english league table, they finish second. This shows that in soccer you have to bind the team together, and select a team who play off each other with great team spirit. This year chelsea are at the top of the league because they bought possibly the best manager in the world (definitely the most arrogant) and he has made a good selection of players and has really made the team one big unit. Also soccer has tactical issues just like american football, but not as many. For example, corners and freekicks need planning to try and achieve a maximum impact on the other team. A good example would be where a free kick is being taken, and you get your teams best guys to pile in the box, so they get marked by the other teams best defenders. Then you aim the freekick at one of your less skilled players, who is not expected to get the ball and therefore is not as heavily marked, and with this extra space he is able to get the ball in the back of the net. Loads of little tricks go on like this. So soccer is a simple game, but it has a lot more to it than getting the ball in the back of the net. I'm not trying to say american football is not simple, its probably just as complicated. Where you get two professional teams in any sport trying to outsmart and outperform each other, nothing is 'simple'. But yeah soccer is better
