ConGregation July 17, 2004 Share ConGregation Member July 17, 2004 Sheesh! 30,000? Did she not have to repay what she benefitted from the insider trading? For a cool few million I would do all that in a heartbeat.
SheepNutz July 17, 2004 Share SheepNutz Member July 17, 2004 I think her broker deserves most of the blame. If someone told me I was gonna lose a bunch of $$$, I'd be sellin' too!
YoMamma July 17, 2004 Share YoMamma Member July 17, 2004 I think her broker deserves most of the blame. If someone told me I was gonna lose a bunch of $$$, I'd be sellin' too! This was from illegal "insider" information. It wasnt broker's advice...

General J July 17, 2004 Share General J Member July 17, 2004 Think about this though. She was found guilty for lying. She was not, however, found guilty for insider trading. I don't know if she is guilty of it, I don't really know how anyone can be guilty of this. To me, info that helps you decide whether or not to sell a stock is just part of that business. But that's my opinion. And it really doesn't matter. But it is funny to me that you can be found guilty of lying about something that you were found innocent of. Anywho, she got the last laugh by making about $100 million when they finally sentenced her. The company's stock rose $1.50 to $10.14 at 10:30 a.m. in New York Stock Exchange Trading. GG, Martha, GG. Watchtower July 18, 2004 Share Watchtower Member July 18, 2004 I heard if she wouldn't have sold, those stocks would have netted her 85,000 by now.
