Lunk's New Ride

Lunk

Recommended Posts

So, I get a call from my wife Wednesday evening. She tells me Chuck (Friend & a car salesman) has a truck I might like. I told her I would stop by the dealership Friday morning on my way home from the airport.

So, I get back into San Antonio. And head straight to the dealership from the airport. Saying my wife was right would be an understatement. This truck was exactly what I wanted. So here it is: Ford F250 Crew Cab, 4x4 Lariat, Turbo Diesel and leather. Not brand new. It's a 2003 model that only had 19k miles on it.

Good deal man!! And as far as bonez. He is....Soy diesel * cheaper than reg diesel * burns cleaner than gas, and gives you better fule economy. Thats kind of what my familys lookin for, only a dualy for the fifth wheel camper we wanna get. Nice catch, hows the ride? Is it like a lumberwagon? Our 96 f250 rides like crap, but we test drove a new GMC dualy 2500 and it rode nice!

Congrats

This thing actually rides better than my Yukon did. My wife actually commented on the fact that it's not a teeth rattling ride. I'm lovin' this thing. :D

My general impression of americans is that they all have stupidly big trucks just because they like the look of them and the 'feel powerful' factor. I'm not bothered if people need a massive truck for working purposes, but seriously, whats the point of burning all of that fuel carrying the monster around when something smaller would do it just aswell?

Yup, that first sentance was a massive stereotype, I'm sure a few people do give plenty of consideration to the environment.

Anyway I'll shut up, this talk belongs in the politics forum.

Yes Ice, I've switched from GM to Ford. I've decided it was time to get over my loyalties to GM and give another brand a try. Especially since they had something that works for me. :peace:

Indeed, this does belong in the politics forum, not in a truck thread. :boo:

Indeed that is a nice truck. Indeed it is a ford, hopefully it is not made like my girlfriends ford escort becuase that car is a piece of crap. Good choice on the diesel engine but i will stick to my 45 miles to the gallon honda civic.

Typical American Exess * sp * BigBones, love it or hate it, soccer moms want a car/truck/suv/van that they can get ten kids and the dog in, dads wanna get a big butt truck the haul the camper/boat/horses, boys want super fast sports cars, and girls want beetles/hondas/toyotas ect, nothings gonna change, except the middle aged guys also like fast cars lol. Nothing wrong with it, this worlds been here for a gazillion years, its gonna be hear a gazillion more, to quote the great, "maybe the earth likes styrofom?"
