The two of us are grabbing a room, I dunno how many people are too a room, but I am sure we'd take ya. Beer is no prob, sweet tasting beer, it could be my pillow! Yet, Chester and I are bums without driving skills.... no liecene, we'd need to hitch a ride. I think Wayfere is driving someone down as well, I dunno. In a little while I'm gonna start hammereing out prices for hotel, gas, rental(if nessesary) etc. It's quite likely we'll be able to put 3 or 4 to a room. Don't worry, I'll make sure you've got a ride. To the rest of you guys that are thinking of going, the $50.00 pricetag for tickets ends in a week. The sooner you get your ticket the sooner I can include you in this. You will need to have the Friday (7th) to the Sunday (9th) off work for sure. We should be back in Toronto (not you guys Chamber & Chester) around 4-5:00PM est so you should'nt have to take the Monday off. Xterminator, Cujo, Norguard, Redhawke, I'm still waiting on you guys to make a decision for sure one way or the other. Although there is no "deadline" (how could I turn away Norguard at the last minute?), the sooner you let me know the sooner I can get the ball rolling. Saris & Scourge are Canadians that I have met prior to starting this thread. (I PM'ed all the Canadians I knew when I started all this) I believe I Pm'ed you Saris, and I believe you did'nt think you could do it. If you change your mind let me know, we'll make room no prob. I believe the restriction is under 16 and if your 16 - 18 you need a parent to sign in for you. Yippy my sister wants to come now! (that just did'nt sound right) I know if you are under 16 it is VERY difficult to cross the border without your mother. (father needs documentation signed by a lawyer) If you are under 16 it is out of the question to come with us. Period. If you are between 16-18 I would have to call & find out. This makes me really nervous to say the least. The last thing I want to do is get to the border, only to find out I have to drive someone back. I'm really tempted to say 19 or older here. I'm going to try to make it, but I honestly won't know until a few weeks before. If I do go, I have my own car so no worries there. Anybody ever have any issues with taking thier computer across the border? I really don't think they have computer experts on hand ready to take yours apart, though stranger things have happened. Just make sure your computer is clean (content wise) & you should be ok. You do not have to be a GC member. It is a lot of fun, & you get to meet the people you play with. Keep in mind price will be dictated by how extravegant you are. If you want the best food with a full beer/drink in your hand all weekend, it's gonna cost you! I believe Mr Duke had some pretty cool deals on food last year & is working on that again. I believe it was a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut deal. Can't remember exactly but it was pretty sweet. One other thing I just remembered. You must be 21 to drink in Ohio if I'm not mistaken. Everything depends on how many people decide they want to go. There are still a number of "maybe's" Chester & Chamber, who might tag TKC & Chambers sister along, then there's Xterminator, Cujo, Norguard, and Redhawke, all of which have yet to give me a definate yes/no. Now it looks like Scourge & potato Salad want in. mmmmm potato salad.... <shakes head> Could be looking at well over 10 people. We also need to consider room for PC's as well. If there are enough people we'll have to rent a van to help with that. My car will take 5 people, but will not take all 5 CPU's in my trunk! Also If we all go in on the rooms together we can save there. If we can get 3 or 4 people to a room we can save pretty big! All in good time! I'm working on some deals but nothing is written in stone yet. I've got a lead on a boxed lunch for $4-$5 which would run Friday and Saturday. But we might just order a few 6 ft subs..dunno. I'm sure we could do another taco run. I believe we did 6 tacos for $5. The problem with that is logistics. You can't just pull up the drive thru and say, "I'd like 200 tacos, please."
