Magruter December 13, 2005 Share Magruter Member December 13, 2005 I hated moving up to wisconsin orginally... A bubbler... I was like comeon. Got into alot of heated arguments about it. Drinking fountain/water fountain it's one of those. It's not a bubbler!! Then they don't say "pop" they call it "soda" Reminds me of the simpson where homer has the celebrity rv, with "ROYAL CROWN COLA"

farmerisme December 16, 2005 Share farmerisme Member December 16, 2005 Saying bubbler is like saying you need a Kleenex instead of a tissue. Same sort of deal. Only it involves odd wisconsin people.
mookie December 16, 2005 Share mookie GC Alumni December 16, 2005 Lots of people I know say Kleenex when they mean tissue. Anyway it's not just Wisonsin I don't think, I knew this guy from Rhode Island and he said bubbler too.

Preacher December 17, 2005 Share Preacher Member December 17, 2005 Bubbler is actually an Aussie term for the H2O extracting device. The Wisconsin folks stole it. Give credit where do, ya know.
