stutters May 12, 2008 Share stutters GC Alumni May 12, 2008 firefox 3.05b (yes, i know its beta) is crashing every third new window. it's awesome. firefox 2 was going upwards of 200m in memory if left open for more than an hour. sure, you can kill the process, but uh, are you supposed to? are there any other browsers out there worth trying that's NOT opera, ie, or safari? and why's it so hard to make a decent friggen browser? /rant
Flitterkill May 12, 2008 Share Flitterkill GC Board Member May 12, 2008 it's awesome. Agreed. Perfectly excellent even in beta, low memory usage, no crashes in forever across XP, Vista Home and Vista Pro, at least for me... I recommend you get a Leading Edge 8086 machine and use Gopher for your interweb excursions. Otherwise, aside from getting a new machine that doesn't suck, Opera? -Fk

dwEEziL May 13, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member May 13, 2008 are there any other browsers out there worth trying that's NOT opera, ie, or safari? Netscape! Which has died. I suggest you try and find FF3b4. It seems really stable to me and has more add-on support then b5. Like you said, it's a beta. You can't expect to run right. As for alternate browsers, have you looked into the Maxthon overlay for IE?
