Sounds like bad drivers. Use Driver Cleaner to remove old NVIDIA and ATI drivers. Then reinstall latest ATI drivers. Hopefully that will clear things up. -

Here is what I have. I like it a lot. ZERO dead pixles or stuck pixles. If you go LCD I recomend buy from circuitcity(where I got mine) or Best Buy. Some thing along those lines. That way if there are Dead/stuck pixels you can return it and get a diff one. -
I believe you are safe so long as you don't distribute what you download and/or make money off of it.
