  1. Ya..gotta use Win7 to get TRIM support. I LOVE my SSD...I used to get so mad waiting for Battlefield maps to load, it went from 2 to 3 minutes, down to about 5 to 8 seconds....now I actually get in there while the freezetime is still active, lol.
  2. I hope they make the game look better....this beta has horribly dated graphics. Something about the gun in the hands is way off too...looks weird, and cheap. I also found that while everything is very smooth, it feels really slow, running feels like walking. CS:S looks way better than this game does.
  3. 1954 Chevy, this one is a Foose design, not sure I would do the 55 headlight shroud treatment, but none the less, a real beauty. Throw in a 1929 Model A roadster, flathead powered of course, and I could die a happy man.
  4. Well, thanks to m0m I got my first taste of CS:GO, man....I really want to like this game, but it's actually pretty awful. The graphics and physics actually seem quite inferior to what we already have in CS:Source, the game feels like a huge step backwards to me. I thought that there were serious registration issues, way worse than CS:S...there were 4 distinct times that I pretty much unloaded point blank, and nothing. I seriously hope this beta is FAR away from the finished product because i'm really excited about the prospect of having fun in CS again, but wow....disappointing so far.
  5. Yes huh....I posted 2 nights ago
  6. From Ohio?! Double you tee eff?
  7. What a coincidence....I drink my beers in pairs too!
  8. I am hereby giving my vague amount of approval....those are kick arse! I like the matte finish actually....not sure if the gloss would be better or worse
  9. No xbox for me, i do have a PS3, but I don't play games like this on it. I don't see how you could play this fast paced game with a controller...i'm having a hard enough time with the precision of a mouse/keyboard, lol
  10. Thanks to all the GHOST members for some serious first night population....we had her full for quite a while!
  11. Yeah, that part sucked...gotta figure out why that isn't working. I was at least trying to keep clan guys together, I know that groups like to play together when possible....but even with that some people complained, but you can't make everyone happy. VooDoo..why you no like server?
  12. Sup! Good to see you here....oh, and don't look forward to playing with flitter anytime soon....we are not even sure he plays anything, actually, we are not even sure he exists....he could be a computer simulation or even another member's alter ego, it's kind of a mystery, one we are afraid to solve He is awesome with the forum board wrenches....keeps this place purring like a fine italian sports car. Welcome to the forums!
  13. Well, let's flip some switches and cough up 7 bucks and give this thing a shot.
  14. I think one of the biggest differences between building a loyal following with Bf3 and CS:S is that CS is set up to have alot more interaction...built in voice com feature, more visible chat...those things and the fact that the gameplay is not quite as intense, and you often have alot of time to kill while you are dead and waiting for the next round, make CS an easier game to build social relationships so to speak. Bf3 is very fast paced and intense, and you respawn in seconds making chat time very difficult, except for those times when you are so mad that you HAVE to let the other guy know what you think of him, lol. That's the biggest hurdle to overcome in my opinion, you never really get to interact with people so that they can find out how cool and awesome we are. It's pretty much standard practice to jump from server to server it seems....the best we can hope for is to land on alot of favorite lists, making us one of the daily stops, even if it's just one of many. The other issue will be enforcement of GC standards...personal disrespect will have to be the key offense to focus on. The game itself has many voice overs in it containing F bombs and everything else, so we can't really enforce a no swearing rule when the game itself is in constant violation, which to me is fine, I have never been a big bawl buster on swearing anyways....other than the super vulger stuff, or anything directed at another player....I swear like a sailor myself, so do many others in this very community that are upholding the standards while playing in our servers. Bottom line on cursing in Bf3...we certainly aren't going to win that battle in this game.
  15. I think we can make this happen if the interest is there, I have no problem putting in some work, but I can't do it all....so I guess we need to gauge the level of support that we can get for this baby. Also need to look into admin clients and see what works well, one thing I don't want to be doing is typing in endless strings of commands while i'm trying to play. There are a couple of programs out there, one of which being bf3cc. It looks good, but it's almost hard to tell out it works until we get something going to play with it. I would ultimately want something HLSW-ish that can be running on a laptop or something nearby that can be easy to access and point/click. I really enjoy playing this game and I want to keep it that way, if it's determined that playing admin will be excessively cumbersome, then I think I would just rather pub it Maybe we can get mookie to set up a "trial" server to play with it and see how easy managing it will be? Other things to consider will be the format....I think Hardcore is a necessity, but beyond that I would need input, my initial thoughts would be Mixed Mode. I had a brief convo with Flitter about this, and I think we can make it happen, but again , the interest has to be there.
  16. There isn't one. Hard to tell people how they should play the game, even if it is annoying.
  17. Dunno about any of the L4D2 stuff, but welcome aboard!
  18. I think I have a Diamondback somewhere...i'll look around tomorrow after work.
