ZesteR March 9, 2005 Share ZesteR Member March 9, 2005 (edited) Umm, I suggest no one to do this. When I did it, it's horrible. I cant see anything but a grey square with nothing else in the middle, and a .. tracking bar or something going across my screen lol, i still attempted to do the video stress test... and it never changed from 10-11 fps I did everything exactly the way Shep posted. Now I dont know how to change everything back.... Please help... I'm a lil annoyed at this. EDIT:: Acid helped me restore to my other settings. Thanks Acid. But beware of this guys.... u might run into the same problem I had. Edited March 9, 2005 by ZesteR

mongoloido March 9, 2005 Share mongoloido Member March 9, 2005 I'd be interested in seeing everyone's system specs along with the test results. Curious to see what it takes to get the big scores.
gOOters March 9, 2005 Share gOOters Member March 9, 2005 I got 59, which is about what I usually get in the game. My settings are pretty low. I have trilinear AA. My specs: AMD 2600+ Radeon 9800 Pro 1GB RAM Why are my FPS so low? The BIG problem. On a really intense map, like this one I play that has all glass floors, I get like 12 FPS. Also in a firefight I get really low FPS. Why??

Guest zerodamage March 15, 2005 Share Guest zerodamage Guests March 15, 2005 G00t, I believe it is your CPU more than anything. Source is fairly intensive on the CPU due to physics calculations. Also, memory bandwidth is a lot better on the Athlon 64's.
