I would pass on the GTX at this point in time since the performance of the 8800 GT (or the more costly GTS but still less than the GTX) since the performances are so close and not worth the extra 3-400.

I'm really happy with my BFG 8800 GTX, however, with the new version of the GTS....I dunno, you'll call on whether you want to spend the cash or not....if you have a giant monitor, the GTX might be worth it as mine has more memory than the GTS version (768 mb vs 512)

I dont think there's much of a difference between the two. I mean, I game at 1920x1200 with everything maxed out, and I RARELY break the 512 mark. I'm usually in the 460-480 zone to be honest. That's in UT3, Gears, CoD4, and Crysis.
