The people who pay a higher click-though fee go higher. Google is a good one for prioritizing based off of accuracy of the search terms: "Talmage farm" with or without the quotes in google gives you the right place as the first return. Just had a lecture with Internet folks about this in a class (advertising is my profession). But depending on the term, some companies buy rights to and actually sponsor returns either up top or along the right hand side even on google.
