SwOOp February 15, 2004 Share SwOOp Member February 15, 2004 What kind of surround system do you have for your HEC? I went out and last week and got an Onkyo Surround sound system. I picked up some optical and digital jacks and hooked it all up. I must say that Onkyo is definitly in the top 2 out of all the brands We picked up a Samsung Dynaflat HD tv to go with it. It does look a little sloppy right now though, cause I used the speaker wires that came with it to hook it up. I just had to hear the capabilities of the system. I went out and picked up a spool of digital speaker wire yetterday, and now I get thefun of getting into my attic to run the wiring in my walls. I may end up going through the crawl space though, haven't decided yet. If I do the crawl space I can use the same entrance that our cable comes through, plus I wouldn't have to mess with the horrid rockwool that is up in our attic. Speakers are from Paradigm. Very happy with them. My receiver is an old JVC that I'm replacing. I *almost* bought an Onkyo. Was deciding between that and a Yamaha when Panasonic released their new digital receiver (it's the size of a DVD player).
