MrDuke January 21, 2006 Share MrDuke Member January 21, 2006 Tough call. I guess I'd have to ask, 5 years from now which memory do you think you'd value more? I know you've spent a ton of time getting xT on the map and I wouldn't jeopardize that work IF (big IF) you value xT that much. From that perspective, FF is just another weekend and there will be another one next year. However, if xT is just a hobby then FF becomes another chance to meet up with your friends and have a blast. I know your heart is in both and there's nothing wrong with that. No wrong choices here, just tough ones. *Edit: I need help subduing... I mean... convincing Mag to come over to my room to, errumm, play cards. If you come to FF you can be my helper. Just out of curiosity, can you carry 150+ pounds...and walk quickly?*
wayfarer January 21, 2006 Share wayfarer Member January 21, 2006 Although It would be awsome to frag with you at FF this year M2, I would have to say CPL. You might not get another chance. FF is a yearly event.
Fatty January 21, 2006 Share Fatty GC Founder January 21, 2006 That's a simple question for me personally....but I might go to CPL if I were you.
*BiGBonES** January 21, 2006 Share *BiGBonES** Member January 21, 2006 I'd look at how your going to get on at CPL. If your going to get knocked out in the first round then it won't be that much fun... then again, if you win a few matches then I bet it will be a blast. So there is a risk in going to CPL, but FF, you know your going to have a blast whether your trying to win the cash tourny or just socialising with people that you know from the community. I guess its all about where you want to go in the long run. If your still be gaming hard in years to come then go to CPL and make a bit of a name for yourself and xT, but if you'll probably stop being a competitive gamer by next year, then definitely hit FF

If you win you would get lots of nice green cash, however CPL is big business and the competition is huge, I think VoO usually dominates though I don't really know my CS:S teams. I am trying to go the first time this year, so I don't even know what it's ike, but I would go with FF personally.

Fatty January 28, 2006 Share Fatty GC Founder January 28, 2006 I doubt most teams go expecting to win. I would imagine the experice itself is worth the trip....and then you do the best you can. Hopefully it won't be too many years before I can go spectate a CPL. I'll go down and hook up with Lunk and check it out someday.
