mookie October 10, 2006 Share mookie GC Alumni October 10, 2006 What's the most memorable theme for everyone? Movies, TV shows, video games, even albums from back when albums had unity. For me it'd have to be Metal Gear Solid.

YoMamma October 15, 2006 Share YoMamma Member October 15, 2006 So many memorable themes. appalachian_fox October 19, 2006 Share appalachian_fox Member October 19, 2006 Hip Hop Harry. Apparently it's on TLC, because when I turned the idiot box on this morning I was audibly assaulted by a song in the middle of the show.

Rashad November 23, 2006 Share Rashad Member November 23, 2006 I think this might be a generational thing. Some people might say the theme from I Love Lucie is the most memorable, but there's no way someone born in the 80's is going to say that. Get meh? Thief_Lord November 25, 2006 Share Thief_Lord Member November 25, 2006 Well, Video Game Wise though it is not my favorite I have to say Mario. When you hear that song one it stays in your head all day. Though my favorite Video Game themes are Fire Emblem (amazing song) and "Simple and Clean" (from Kingdom Hearts) Movie Wise I must say that James Bond remains close to my heart. Yet I still must say that Star Wars is more widly recognized as it can be heard most everywhere.

Norguard January 2, 2007 Share Norguard Member January 2, 2007 Hrm... TV Show: Macguyver - It's happy and bouncy, but when it gets in your skull, it's there a while. Movie: Terminator 2: Judgement Day (Brad Fiedel) - This theme is so simple, and yet, its counter-rhythms and harmonies are so moving and so dynamically expressive that the simple little melody can bring me goosebumps, and get me choked up. Album: Pink Floyd - Pick one. Just go ahead and pick an album, and I'll pretty much agree with you. Some of the repeat themes are buried under other things. Sometimes they are nothing more than audio clips from randomly recorded TV shows, or from randomly interviewed extra-band musicians, but most Floyd albums are connected, start to finish, and then loop around again, to seamlessly start over again. The most obvious audible theme, and a good choice would be Shine on, Crazy Diamond (I - IX), so we'll go with that. Videogame: For me, it has to be Zelda's Theme, from the Zelda series. Koji Kondo is a hit making machine for Nintendo, doing just about every big-name first-party game they make, but his first job was to put music to Zelda, and that intro theme, again, with its very simple 2/2 structure, and soaring melody can haunt a person, and really carry their soul in a pseudo-waltz of orchestrated synth-strings, if they allow it.
