onyxdragoon July 11, 2013 Share onyxdragoon Member July 11, 2013 People need to understand the new UI in Win8 is the start button. It has everything the normal start button has just laid out differently. I still hate Win8 though.
boiler July 11, 2013 Share boiler Member July 11, 2013 Personally, I think Windows 8 is great once you understand how things are organized. I have NEVER worked on a faster machine than my home rig once I got Win8 running on it. Any time I hear someone say that it's awful, I think they really want it to be like the above picture. Makes me imagine MS giving a giant middle finger to the haters, saying "You want to live in the past? HERE YOU GO. ENJOY."
Madvillain July 11, 2013 Share Madvillain Member July 11, 2013 Windows 8 is so quick, almost as quick as people are to hate it. Oh noes you changed the interface, I may need to spend a little time to figure out that it's not all that different than Win 7....

I paid $640 for just the drives...4 or 8mb ram i cant remember. compiling and testing was such a blast at that time...........

Allanon July 27, 2013 Share Allanon Member July 27, 2013 Windows 8 seems fine, I'm just absolutely ok with staying with 7 for the moment. I mean is the difference in performance that noticeable? Otherwise don't see any reason to leave Windows 7.
