Computer Technician and Sales Representative for Circuit City.

Basically I sell pre-built computers and sometimes someone will custom order one and I will build that for them. Fun job - decent pay - but I don't and won't get much respect from the outside world.

Internal technical support for electronic funds transfers...(Credit, Debit)

If youve swiped a card at a restaurant, gas station, grocery store chances are my company has or will process it.

I used to work for Concord EFS, which recently merged with First Data corp. I now work for Abanco International LLC. Which is the same type of comapny, which deals directly with the 2 before mentioned companies, but is up and coming.

My Fiancee also works in the same industry for Concord EFS....but works on-site at the McDonalds corporation...shes an account manager.

Just quit my job as a produce clerk at a grocery store after a year because I wasn't getting ANY free time (working 20 hours/week weekends and going to school weekdays). I am a Biology major with Chemisty and German minors trying to graduate in 3 years so I can move on to grad school and get a PhD in Genetics so I can do research. After 2 years of college, I have 112 credits, and plan on graduating in the spring. I also want to do a year in Europe next year, spending a semester in London and Szezged, Hungary, respectively with my current school before I go to grad school. I am taking an insane schedule this semseter. Barf.

I run a fruit/vegetable/local produce stand sometimes.

Then the rest of the time I (try to) write stories/poems and record music.. Thats what I (want to) do. Both of those things.

And if those things don't work, I'll go to school and learn how to stop the oceans from dying, or something important and meaningful like that.

San - I used to party up there all the time, quite a few years ago though. I was just up that way all weekend at Clare and we almost stopped at the Casino but it looked packed.

They still do Mayfest at Central?

I'm not sure about Mayfest, but I do live in Clare since it's only about a 25 minute drive and it'll save me roughly $20,000 towards law school.

NOFX....I think having a job you love and can be excited about forever is worth staying in school another 2 years. just my opinion. Took me 8 years to decide what I wanted to do (that's a lot of partying) in college.

Ditto! (I took 8 years too :laughcry: )

Playaa, I know quite a few ppl from Avanade. I remember when a lot of my friends went over to start that company. How do you like working with them?

Startups is what I do. I've done 5 in the past 15 years--started out in an IT support capacity and ran the last 2 myself. Currently working on two new ones (last two years): GotFrag - the leading online news site for eSports and a Cancer Diagnostics Biotech company focused on a revolutionary technology which can detect circulating tumor cells in blood.

I don't know about the rest of you folks...but I'm impressed by Chippy's title. Maybe not the job itself (since I'm not sure what it is), but yowza! That's some title.

We have a place on Windover Lake, just North of Clare...up by Farwell. We used to be on 5-points over behind Jays Sporting Goods but this lake is quieter and we have a much larger yard and lake frontage.

I live about 2 miles from Jay's, and I've got a great uncle who lives on five lakes.

I work for a company called Cardinal Health. If you use Leader Drug stores, I might have shipped out something you bought. Cardinal also owns Medicine Shoppe. We distribute medications and normal everyday over the counter items that you would find at walgreens to pharmacies. We are very tightly controlled by the DEA. Overall, it's a decent place to work.

I am going to be going back to school this winter/ next spring. I am still trying to decide what I really want to do. I know, it sounds funny, but I am determined to decide and start back so I can actually get on with life. I am still battling between firefighting or going to ITT for my associates in networking and continuing on for my bachelors - Informations Systems Security. I would love to serve my community as a civil servant. But I figure with my bachelors, I would have a wide variety of job choices, even if they didn't have anything to do with IT.
