potato salad February 12, 2006 Share potato salad Member February 12, 2006 Hmn I thought all the stuff you mentioned was a "must have". I've never been to the place under Canada so this is all new to me. I'll just go identify traffic signs then and get the health card updated. I assume those and my birth certificate should be enough. rofl waffles

wayfarer February 20, 2006 Author Share wayfarer Member February 20, 2006 Hey wayferer, my sis is going, is that ok? She just isn't purchasing a ticket. Tell your sister to make up her mind. If she decides to come, we need another vehicle. We might need that anyway, I'm still waiting on Norguard.

wayfarer March 1, 2006 Author Share wayfarer Member March 1, 2006 I will be driving and I need a roomie...who are you taking so far Wayf? Ok, so far we have; Scuba - might be going down with the wife. Chester Chamberlain Chamberlain's sister Anonymo Wayfarer I'm waiting on Scuba & Norguard before I reserve rooms. Scuba can book his own if he's bringing the wife. Norguard said he would give me a definate answer 2nd week of March.(as did Scuba) Everyone else has givin me a definate yes or no. I WILL be booking the hotel rooms A.S.A.P. and will post up here when I do. It's quite likely you'll be roomin with me Mo. The problem now is room in the vehicles. Chester, Cahmberlain look here! Those cpu's are pretty good. Might even be better than your current setup, dunno. But $75.00 U.S. is a small price to pay for the ease of not having to worry about your cpu!! If there are enough of us it's $60.00 U.S. I'm thinking about this too, because it's easy, and because I can see how well my performance is on my own PC. If everyone went this route we only need one car. (if A Scuba goes on his own with his wife, or B Chamberlain's sister does'nt come) Other wise we will need 2 vehicles. Even with 2 vehicles I'm worried about space if everyone brings their PC.
Chamberlain March 5, 2006 Share Chamberlain Member March 5, 2006 (edited) I wonder if i could rent a monitor. I am cool with dragging my comp, but really don't want to lug any of my monitors down. One less monitor is one more 24pack. I think chester wants to rent a comp. I just don't want to spend that much cash. To me thats 75 bucks less for beer or food. Or shoppin money. My sister is small, she can fit in the trunk or under a seat. Edited March 5, 2006 by Chamberlain

wayfarer March 14, 2006 Author Share wayfarer Member March 14, 2006 You will need the Friday off from work. I would like to take off from Toronto as early as possible. Say around 4-5:00AM which means you guys would have to be ready between 6:30-7:30AM. Just so you know, we will not be taking any beer over the border. We can purchase whatever we need when in the U.S. and room for all our stuff is going to be tight. I'll even go so far as to say this, CRT monitors might not fit. If you do not have an LCD monitor you might want to consider renting a CPU at the fest. The rest of your computer is useless if there's not enough room for your monitor!!!
