ConGregation January 17, 2003 Share ConGregation Member January 17, 2003 One day I was walking to the post office after work. And I was thinking about all the different trees we have in our area. I mean there are a TON of different trees. So I started to identify all the trees that I walked by. Of course my horticultural knowledge doesnt rival the rotting leaves' but I was able to name quite a few. But the funny thing is I started to notice a pattern. Oak, Oak, Elm, Walnut. Then Maple, Maple, Poplar, Elm. Then Evergreen (didnt know the particular variety), Maple, Oak, Oak. And so on. This random patter really got me to thinking about social order. How some people are destined for certain things but some are just going to flow with the social standing their heritage gives them. Why do some rise above social boundaries to effect others or even themselves greatly. Is it a spiritual thing? Or maybe a metaphysical or even just plain physical? The answer seemed to hang out there way beyond my reach and not drawing nearer at all. And that got me to thinking about watching the clouds when I was a little boy. Just laying there and making up shapes as the cloud floated accross the sky. You could plainly see a shape but watch it directly for just a few seconds and that shape was unrecognizable at all. But your brain refused to surrender that shape so the shape the cloud actually resembled couldnt be thought of. Just how many things do we miss only because we have preconceived notions of what they were when we first realized them. Are we all running around with 5 year old notions of life and concepts? Maybe if we closed our eyes for a few seconds and then opened them again things would appear as they really are. We could see things clearly. We could know reality or at least a reality that made sense with the information processed through our eyes. But then I was at the Post Office. (the answer is this one) Which clan has been a forerunner in that community and has always had great forums and servers to play in? (The answer is Mmmm, with the help of DLM at times) Who leads the clan that is the forerunner in the greatest cs community in the world and provides great forums to chat in and wonderful servers to play in (with the help of DLM at times)? Problems arise when you try to enforce rules. But i would be the first to admit that i make mistakes and even sometimes my frustration clouds my judgement. So we as "the leaders" must be willing to admit mistakes quicky and completely. I am not saying Fatty made a mistake or was wrong in his actions. But our position requires we treat others with respect and apologize when we dont. So Windex has every right to come here and politely ask us to review his situation. We in turn are required to treat his situation with complete fairness and without animosity. Windex failed in the first part but i feel that his failure should not justify our failure in our part. He changed his name, but he was just joking around when he "You gonna make me change my s/n", i find it quite humorous as well. So that log shows that he was banned for cracking a joke about you not because of his name. You could have said "Thanks for changing your name, have a nice day" and not paid anymore attention to him. which would have made this alot simplier. but its almost like you enjoy arguing and being able to say "Im admin and your not, are your not getting unbanned" I could care less about about the vote, because i dont play on the server anymore anywayz. If you want to play on a server where your are less likely to be kicked for your name and you want to crack jokes on me and i wont ban you(especially if I know you) then come to TF server. Go read Nite's post. Obviously Windex was making an issue of the whole thing in game so Fat kicked him. I dont wanna deal with crybabies either. Obviously Windex verbally assaulted Fat in AIM and had a chip on his shoulder. This is the exact same way the old Windex would have handled things. <slams gavil on Mr.X's pinky finger> oops sorry!
