san` January 26, 2014 Share san` GC Alumni January 26, 2014 Is it possible to have to server rules come up at the connect of the server that list all the rules and state this is your only warning and you have to select that you have read and understand the rules and you accept. Not every time just we your new and this is the first time ever coming to this server not sure how that could be done just a thought. Rules are displayed on the MOTD every time you connect. Examples include but are not limited to: • Killing yourself by jumping off a ledge • Throwing a molotov in a friendly area • Messing with the saferoom door • Standing next to your teammates as boomer AND A VERY,VERY,VERY NEEDED RULE IS... Don't kill steal. Aka: - Grabbing hold of a victim a jockey/smoker is riding as hunter/charger. - Even more annoying, is when a jockey steals from a smoker. -Grabbing a victim that

MasterTalpa March 11, 2014 Share MasterTalpa Member March 11, 2014 you can troll to a certain extent. molotovs/crates are spammed throughout the map and booming while next to friendlies happens quite often. so i dont think youll get kicked for any of those

Aka: - Grabbing hold of a victim a jockey/smoker is riding as hunter/charger. - Even more annoying, is when a jockey steals from a smoker. -Grabbing a victim that If I think I can do more damage to a player, or move them further away than you can before someone comes to save them, I'm just going to do it. There shouldn't be a rule about this. For the not standing next to another player as a boomer, I do this all the time for chargers, as if I get blown up it resets their charge allowing them to charge again. Likewise for charging into walls next to other chargers when they have someone pinned (but not incapd).

Test March 14, 2014 Share Test Member March 14, 2014 i see that molotov does damage to all survivors, but is it ok to throw molotov on tank with nearby allies?
Jerkoff March 14, 2014 Share Jerkoff Member March 14, 2014 Molotov or any of the fire items will not hurt allies beside the person who set them off first, including chaining other fire/explosives. Exception is gas can maps where a spitter blew it up, thus hurting all survivors on it.
13thspray May 19, 2014 Share 13thspray Member May 19, 2014 * Team kiling********* The only time i willing did this horrid act, early round in need of a spitter. Noob wouldn't spit and die. My next spawn included charger killing spitter............... This brought up some issues, and for the most part I have only done this horrid act a couple of times. It was amazing to see someone learn to type and speak after many rounds of team mates requesting and pleading to spit and die.......... After the few incidents i stopped my attacking method of request. TEAM Game........ Ok am i not team for team killing? or are they for not listeng? I would double my dues for voice entry requirements to server.......i.e. hear and respond only..... So i look for enlightenment on this topic, as trial admin I am trying to be perceptive to the idea that noobs become members, members become admin, admin and members teach noobs and remind members that the noobs are our community. I have to stop here or Lookback will need an interperter........

PeanutButterNJelly May 25, 2014 Share PeanutButterNJelly GC Alumni May 25, 2014 Hi Spray, I just want to address your post above on team killing. Players on our servers do not have to "spit and die". Of course, most times it is helpful for the team if they do. Regulars can certainly try to explain to newer people why they should spit and die, (also how to buy a suicide). But sometimes people do not listen or do not understand. If someone is refusing to use this strategy, they should not be slayed by an admin, team-killed by a player, kicked from the server or verbally abused. Admins are not there to make sure everyone follows a certain "strategy", even if it is accepted by most as the best way to play. If someone is holding a spitter and refusing to actually spit, refusing to spawn in, is afk, is on the other side of the map, etc, notify an admin to take action, or votekick him. PeanutButterNJelly May 25, 2014 Share PeanutButterNJelly GC Alumni May 25, 2014 TestCharacter - Noob is not a bad word. It just depends how someone is using it. If using it breaks one of the rules (see below), then the person will be warned/kicked/banned, depending on the situation, if they are ignoring the warnings, etc GC rules/code: Respect others by* not deriding other players for their shortcomings* not whining about other players' success or your own failure* not insulting othersBe polite by* not using foul language or pornography* not making racist, sexist, or otherwise bigoted comments* not intentionally disrupting gameplayShow sportsmanship by* being gracious as a winner and as a loser* making an effort to help your team win* not exploiting weaknesses in the game to your advantageKeep your screen names in line with the above. We'll let a little innuendo slide, sometimes, but generally we'd rather you'd keep it classy.Basically? Are you being a dick? If yes, then stop. If no, good job! stabz0r September 29, 2014 Share stabz0r Member September 29, 2014 (edited) Don't kill steal. - Even more annoying, is when a jockey steals from a smoker. This should be allowed. It not annoying if it's helping the infected. Shippuden and I had great enjoyment helping each other attack a player that was getting pulled back further from their team mates. Fenix September 29, 2014 Share Fenix Member September 29, 2014 Dont kill steal, dont ever charge a player who is pulled by a smoker. Dont death charge. Sarcasm? There are instances when it's ok and not ok to take someone else's human capture. For example, when smoking to an area for the sole purpose of having a charger perform a death charge, or to have him charged further away from the humans. Just the other day I yelled at maestro for taking my kill. I was a smoker and pulled someone out of sight of anyone else...then along comes maestro with his hunter. He pounced my target and got the kill. I only yelled at him in a sarcastic way, but when someone does that repeatedly, it becomes annoying. But yeah, there are times when it takes two or more special infected to get a job done...spitters and chargers are another one.
